At Imperial Polythene, we are always keen to support causes close to our hearts, and this year’s Macmillan Coffee Morning was no exception. In collaboration with Veolia Stafford, we kicked off a fantastic day of fundraising, bringing together our teams, cakes, and lots of energy to support Macmillan Cancer Support.

The day began bright and early at 5:30am, with some of our dedicated team heading to the Veolia Stafford site to provide their crews with a much-needed breakfast of delicious cakes and pastries. From traditional Victoria Sponge to indulgent muffins, the cakes were a hit, and conversations about the importance of Macmillan's work flowed just as easily as the coffee. It was incredible to see the staff's enthusiasm and generosity as they contributed to this wonderful cause. Meanwhile, back at Imperial Polythene HQ, the rest of the team was busy hosting their own Macmillan Coffee Morning. Tables were lined with cakes of all kinds, as staff across departments took the time to join in, share a sweet treat, and donate to Macmillan Cancer Support. The spirit of the event extended well beyond the morning, as people continued to drop in throughout the day, eager to contribute and enjoy the occasion.

While we enjoyed a variety of delicious treats, it was clear that the Victoria Sponge Cake was the star of the show. It didn’t last long on the table, with everyone vying for a slice! The real highlight of the day? Together, through donations at both Veolia Stafford and Imperial HQ, we raised nearly £500 for Macmillan Cancer Support! This incredible amount will help Macmillan continue providing vital care and assistance to those affected by cancer.

This event wasn’t just about the cakes (though they were fantastic!) – it was about coming together as a community and supporting Macmillan’s vital work. From Veolia’s early risers to Imperial’s dedicated team at HQ, the enthusiasm and generosity we witnessed throughout the day were heartwarming.

At Imperial Polythene, we believe in the power of community and collaboration, and this Macmillan Coffee Morning was a shining example of what can be achieved when people unite for a good cause and we’re proud to have hosted this as part of our 30 for 30 campaign.
