Period Poverty
As part of our ongoing 30 for 30 campaign, we are proud to announce our latest donation of £25 to Period Poverty UK, an organization dedicated to ensuring that all women and girls have access to essential period products. This contribution helps support their crucial work in eliminating period poverty both in the UK and in crisis areas around the world.
Period poverty is a global issue that affects millions of women and girls. Many are unable to afford or access basic period products like pads and tampons, which can have a serious impact on their health, well-being, and quality of life. Period Poverty UK believes that no one should have to face this struggle, and they are working tirelessly to ensure that women and girls in Britain's most deprived communities have the period products they need.
Their goal is to eliminate period poverty in the UK by 2025, and our donation is one small step towards helping them achieve that.
In addition to their work in the UK, Period Poverty UK is also providing essential period products to women in crisis areas around the world, including those affected by the ongoing conflicts in Syria and Ukraine. By ensuring that women in these regions have access to sanitary products, they are helping to maintain dignity and health in some of the most challenging circumstances imaginable.
At Imperial Polythene, we believe that access to period products is a basic human right. By supporting Period Poverty UK, we hope to play a small part in ending the stigma around menstruation and ensuring that no woman or girl faces the challenges of period poverty. Our £25 donation will contribute towards providing pads and tampons to those in need, whether in the UK or in a crisis zone halfway around the world.
