Re Engage
As part of our 30 for 30 campaign, we are thrilled to announce a donation to Re-engage, an organisation that brings companionship, conversation, and connection to older people. Our contribution will help fund a place at one of Re-engage’s monthly tea parties, providing an older person with a chance to connect with others in a welcoming, social environment.
Re-engage is dedicated to supporting older people who are facing loneliness and isolation. For many seniors, social circles naturally diminish over time, and the impact of this isolation can be profound. Re-engage steps in to fill that gap, creating vital opportunities for life-enhancing social interactions.
Alongside monthly tea parties, Re-engage also offers a Call Companions programme. This free service pairs older people with a volunteer who calls regularly, offering conversation, laughter, and companionship. Whether the chat is about family, hobbies, or simply the day-to-day, these calls bring warmth and connection into lives that might otherwise feel isolated.
This donation is part of our broader 30 for 30 initiative, where we celebrate 30 years of business by making 30 charitable donations to causes close to our hearts. By supporting Re-engage, we hope to help make a positive impact on the lives of older people who deserve connection, companionship, and support.
How You Can Get Involved
If you’d like to support Re-engage and make a difference in the lives of older people, there are a few ways to get involved:
- Donate: Every donation helps Re-engage provide companionship and social connections to more people. You can donate directly on their website.
- Volunteer: Re-engage is always looking for volunteers for both their tea parties and Call Companions program. A small amount of your time can have a lasting impact on someone’s life.
- Spread the Word: Share Re-engage’s mission with friends, family, and colleagues to raise awareness of the importance of combating loneliness in our communities.
