The Polypacers: Ready to Run!
Imperial Polythene are lacing up for a remarkable journey from London to Paris — all in the name of charity. From April 30 to May 3, 2026, a team of five will take on the iconic Run2Paris event, raising vital funds for Parkinson’s UK.
Starting in Wimbledon, London, and finishing beneath the iconic Eiffel Tower in Paris, each team member will run the equivalent of at least a half marathon or more per day — a true test of endurance, determination, and team spirit. But that’s not all. In a twist that adds some extra motivation (and friendly rivalry), Imperial will be racing against one of their customers to see who reaches Paris first — all before you can say sacré bleu! Stay tuned for an announcement on who they are very soon!
Both teams are already gearing up for the challenge, with training plans well underway and running schedules firmly in place. Long runs and a serious amount of Lycra has been purchased, as both teams prepare to take on every mile between Wimbledon and the Eiffel Tower. To bring some extra personality to the pavement, Imperial Polythene will be running under the banner of The Polypacers.
Parkinson’s UK is the leading charity supporting people affected by Parkinson’s, the fastest-growing neurological condition in the world. Every mile run and every pound raised will go toward funding research, resources, and support for those living with the disease.
