Small Steps / Shooting Stars Gift / Donation Visit
On the 6th December Father ‘Imperial Polythene’ Christmas 🎅 was off on his travels visiting a couple of charities to deliver donations of toys and gifts.
Dear Diary...
First up we landed on the roof (well actually just the car park) of Rainbow Trust in Leatherhead.
Rainbow Trust Children’s Charity supports families who have a child with a life-threatening or terminal illness. The charity pairs each family with an expert Family Support Worker, giving them practical and emotional support for the whole family.
We were delighted to make a preferential donation of gift vouchers to help allow families to enjoy a day out, an activity together or perhaps a meal for that much needed precious family time together.
It was a pleasure to meet the team at Rainbow Trust who were very welcoming and grateful to receive our donation.
You can find out more about the amazing work this does charity or support them by visiting their website:

Shooting Star Children’s Hospices cares for babies, children and young people with life-limiting conditions, and their families, across west London and Surrey.
Their aim is to make every moment count, whether lives are measured in days, weeks, months, or years. They support families from diagnosis to end of life and throughout bereavement with a range of nursing, practical, emotional, and medical care.
There specialist care and support are free of charge and available 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. They support around 500 babies, children, or young adults who have a life-limiting condition and their families, as well as around 200 bereaved families.
After a warm welcome at reception, we were invited to place the toys and gifts under the tree and were thanked for the donations we had given, which we hope may go if even just a little way to helping someone’s Christmas.

Finally we would also like to share an update on one of our previous visits to Small Steps charity based in Richmond who provide specialist help and support to parents with physically disabled children. They very kindly shared these photos of families enjoying some of the toys and gifts donated by ourselves at there Christmas Party and how wonderful to see and we hope they had an amazing time.
